The entire point of this and all future posts will be to discuss current issues in the Town of Bourne. In addition to relevant news and events we will highlight local businesses and other informative websites to increase awareness of the community. Bourne offers the very best in Cape Cod living while providing easy access to Boston and Providence.
Many of the websites for Bourne businesses can be found on the internet through the Directory Project. Bourne businesses are listed by category such as Advertising and Marketing and the much larger Business and Economy section. From the parent section you will find a selection of eateries, marine outfitters and other relevant businesses. In addition information about the individual villages is broken out and in some cases websites dedicated to these villages are listed. The Town of Bourne does maintain a website but it does not yet list many of these companies and probably never will. The Bourne website does provide contact information for most of the officials and committees in Town.
Unlike most communities in Massachusetts Bourne is comprised of several smaller communities or Villages. Unlike Hyannis to the east Bourne does not treat the villages as distinct districts. Bourne shares a single Fire Department, Police Department and school system.
